This year, Engadin Airport AG participated for the first time in the “Bike to Work” campaign, an initiative launched by Pro Velo Switzerland. From June 1 to 30, 20 employees regularly commuted to work by bike or on foot. Organized into five teams of four, which kept each other motivated through friendly competition, they covered an impressive total of 3,601 kilometers—roughly the flying distance from Samedan to Svalbard. In total, 277 cycling days were logged, representing 88 percent of all possible commutes. The main goal of the challenge—cycling to work on at least half of the working days—was clearly exceeded.
